CAMP DIRECTOR/OWNER: Mary Ellen Mandatta
Mary Ellen has been a Health/Physical Education teacher for fifteen years, seven of them with the Milford Public School. She has worked throughout the years as a camp counselor for various local day camps. Mary Ellen has been a coach of High School and Middle School field hockey, basketball, and softball over the past fifteen years. Her mission for the camp was simple; make it affordable for the parents and safe and fun for the kids. As the camp’s fourth summer approaches, her mission has evolved but the core remains the same.

With the support of her family and colleagues, her mission for the camp is to provide an enriching, exciting, and challenging summer program in a safe, comfortable environment. Where all campers can experience success and build their confidence while making new friends and having fun.
SUPERVISOR: Donna Pontoriero
Donna will be in charge of our “The Milford Mini-Camp” program this year. She has 14 years teaching experience with Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Her nuturing nature for the “little ones” makes the parents feel comfortable and secure. She knows how to incorporate fun with learning so all the campers are involved and interested in the daily activities.
SUPERVISOR: Emily O’Connell
Emily O’Connell will head up the “Explore to Create” program. She is currently a preschool aide at Frenchtown School and previously a substitute teacher in Milford Public School for several years. Emily also coaches for Girls on the Run. Mrs. O’Connell has a teaching degree in science education and has taught sixth grade science. She enjoys hiking and camping with her family.
SUPERVISOR: Erin Fleming
Erin will be in charge of “Kamper’s Kitchen” program. Erin has her Bachelors degree in Mathmatics and is working on her masters in education. Her background includes tutoring, substitute teaching and she was also a daycare teacher. She would like to pursue teaching math to middle school or high school students. Her hobbies include knitting, baking and playing volleyball.
SUPERVISOR: Nicole Fleming
Nicole will be in charge of “The Krafty Kidz” program. Nicole holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Liberal Arts/Elementary Education and Special Education. She has been teaching at Milford School at the middle school level for 3 1/2 years. Her hobbies include tutoring, playing and coaching softball, and being creative.
